Genoa as You've Never Seen It
Genoa, like the Genoese people, is to be discovered little by little; beneath an apparent toughness, they reveal great surprises and wonders.
To fully enjoy the city, it is necessary to know its history and the many "hidden" places that conceal anecdotes and typical characteristics of the place.
A city that offers a myriad of different panoramas overlooking the sea, such as the coastal walks or the Expo, steeped in history like the forts that dominate the city from above, unexpected like the "caruggi" (narrow streets) that house the ancient shops and places of exchange with port trade.

The Aquarium of Genoa: A Must-See Attraction
What if the weather is bad or it's too cold to walk around?
Looky Hotel recommends a visit to the Aquarium of Genoa.
Just 26 km from the Hotel, the Aquarium of Genoa is located in the city center, in the Porto Antico area, easily accessible by car and with convenient parking.
With 27,000 square meters of exhibition space, 12,000 animals, and 200 plant species, the Genoa Aquarium is the largest in Europe and can be visited in about 2-3 hours. While you're there, you can't miss a visit to the Biosphere, a scenic spherical structure of glass and steel designed by architect Renzo Piano. Inside, you will find delicate ecosystems of tropical forests populated by flora and fauna.
Before returning to the Looky Hotel, we suggest a final stop at the Bigo for an extraordinary aerial view of Genoa.

The Parks of Nervi: A Botanical Paradise
The Parks of Nervi: A Botanical Paradise
Self-Guided Visit
A historic-environmental complex of inestimable value, inspired by the Romantic era, where the typical Mediterranean flora blends with exotic and tropical plants. This location has been chosen for two editions of Euroflora, the most spectacular of European floral exhibitions.
It's a garden to explore and discover, with green lawns where you can relax and enjoy the sun, and a long green path that culminates in the majestic rose garden.
The entire complex is bordered by the famous Anita Garibaldi promenade overlooking the sea, which culminates in the small and characteristic port of Nervi where you can enjoy a Ligurian dish, browse among the fishermen's boats, and take the ferry to San Fruttuoso di Camogli.
The most convenient way to reach the parks is by train, which stops at the "Nervi" station right at the entrance to the promenade.
